Can algorithms be discriminatory?

One central topic is the accusation that AI systems discriminate against individual groups of people, for example, by recognising dark-skinned people more poorly, residents of certain neighbourhoods can only order from mail-order companies if they pay in advance, and women are paid less when they are hired. Yet AI systems actually only do one thing: they evaluate past data and draw conclusions from it - in very simplified terms - by means of correlation analysis for the processing of further data.

Big heart, hands on

msg Plaut employees help people in need! They have been demonstrating this for many years through their personal commitment to the homeless, to needy children and, since the beginning of the war, also through ongoing donations in kind and money to Ukrainian aid organisations.

This willingness to help culminated at the end of March in the handover of a completely renovated and well-equipped flat, which they had organised themselves, to a large Ukrainian family.
