msg Plaut employees help people in need! They have been demonstrating this for many years through their personal commitment to the homeless, to needy children and, since the beginning of the war, also through ongoing donations in kind and money to Ukrainian aid organisations.
This willingness to help culminated at the end of March in the handing over of a completely renovated and well-equipped flat, which they had organised themselves, to a large Ukrainian family.
Impressive staff from over 30 countries
The helpfulness of the people at msg Plaut is simply impressive! Since mid-February, volunteers have been bringing colleagues' donations in kind several times a week to the collection points in Vienna, where they are transported by lorry to Ukraine. Care is taken to ensure helpful order and, above all, large quantities. The transporter is filled to the brim every time.
Drilling, screwing, hammering for the needy at the weekend
The cohesion among the staff is incredible. Within just one week, the team managed to find and fully equip a high-quality shelter for 3 women and their 6 children. The furnishings were financed through a crowd-funding campaign among the staff, and further donations in kind were used to organise all the household goods, including a TV and Wi-Fi. From the Management Board to the assistants: msg Plaut Management Board member Dr Georg Krause and his family also lent a hand over the weekend, assembling beds and chests of drawers. Nine people and two dogs have now found a new, urgently needed home in Wiener Neustadt thanks to the team's commitment.
In view of the war in Ukraine, the school community of the language-oriented Bundesgymnasium Babenbergerring in Wr. Neustadt also set a sign for peace. On the initiative of Prof. Larissa Kasic, numerous students and teachers used a wide variety of materials to tinker with one and the same word in over 27 languages: Peace. This long peace chain will now be officially presented on 1 April 2022.
The family members supported by msg Plaut are also invited to join the event in order to network as quickly as possible. Many of the local schoolchildren have Russian in their language lessons and will be able to make contact with the Ukrainian young people at the joint peace festival.
It is wonderful that so many people stand together like this in such a short time, in their spare time, and lend a hand - at this point, a big thank you to all helping hands, idea providers and donors! Their spontaneity and personal commitment are deeply impressive. We are proud to be part of this team.
